The Island View T-shirt Ministry supplies new t-shirts to churches
and other non-profit organizations who distribute them to the
homeless and those in need at no charge.

How We Serve -

 

We receive shipments of t-shirts from manufacturers and print/embroidery shops.  We sort the t-shirts removing the ones which have inappropriate markings, are too damaged, or which have easily recognized trademarks.  While the shirts are irregulars and returns, they are brand new and of high quality.

The shirts are then boxed and distributed to churches and other non-profit organizations who give them to homeless and needy.  Among the conditions which go with receiving the shirts, they cannot be sold, used as promotions, or bartered for other goods.  They are to be given for free to those in need.

Where We Serve

The Island View T-shirt Ministry currently operates in southern California, primarily in Ventura, Kern, Orange and Santa Barbara Counties.  Most of the t-shirts are distributed by our recipients, and their impact reaches a much wider area.
 

The Island View T-shirt Ministry - The Results

In 2020 the Island View T-shirt Ministry distributed 6,600 articles of clothing (mostly t-shirts).  It is impossible to measure the impact these shirts have on the lives of those who receive them – and on those who give them away.  We are motivated by the Matthew 25:34-40 scripture which ends with, “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
